The scholarship is intended to offer significant financial support, with a maximum award of £5,000. By enabling and motivating gifted overseas students to pursue their academic goals at the University of Leeds, our financial assistance seeks to develop a varied and stimulating academic community.

This scholarship gives a sizable amount of up to £5,000, which will be given out gradually throughout the duration of the study year. Candidates who are selected will get £3,000 in their first year and £1,000 each year after that, provided they continue to maintain a satisfactory level of academic performance. Students must pass every module on their first try and maintain an annual achievement percentage of 60% or above in order to be eligible to continue receiving the scholarship. The scholarship will be temporarily withdrawn if a student’s performance is less than 60% in any given year; however, if the student’s performance improves to 60% or above the next year, the scholarship may be restored. A £1,000 scholarship will be given out for each year of study, which will be a great way to help students in their academic journey.

Eligibility Requirements:

In order to qualify for the scholarship, candidates need to fulfill certain requirements. First and foremost, they have to be independently sponsored students starting at the undergraduate Level 1 at the University of Leeds. For the purpose of tuition fees, they must also be categorized as international students.

Students who have successfully completed the University of Leeds’ International Foundation Year (IFY) and are self-financing their studies are also eligible to apply for the award.

In order to be eligible, candidates also need to have been offered a spot in the University of Leeds’ prestigious School of Earth and Environment undergraduate program for the 2023–2024 academic year.
